Canning is a method of preserving foods in general. It was first developed in the 18th century as a way of providing a safe, reliable food source for soldiers and sailors. Avocado Tuna Sandwich
1 can Prozis Solid Tuna in water
½ ripe avocado, roughly chopped
½ minced celery
¼ minced red onion
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 tsps lemon juice
2 tbsps chopped fresh cilantro or parsley
½ tsp salt
Ground black pepper to taste
Place all the ingredients in a medium bowl. Mix with a fork, mashing the avocado and the chunks of tuna as you go, until the ingredients are well combined. Add more olive oil or salt and pepper if necessary, and serve on top of your favorite sandwich bread for a fresh and easy lunch.
